Police ID Victim of Homicide at Danbury Condo

A 33-year-old New York man was shot and killed at a condominium complex in Danbury early Wednesday morning and police are looking for the shooter.

Police identified the victim as 33-year-old Jason James Lowry Hoffman, of Brewster, New York. They said the state medical examiner ruled his death to be a homicide from a gunshot to the upper torso.

Limited information is available on what happened, but police said Hoffman was visiting a friend at the Sterling Woods Condominium Complex when he was shot.

A pistol was recovered feet away from the crime scene and police are working to determine if it is connected to the shooting.
