    Police are investigating a shooting in Salem, Massachusetts Saturday afternoon.

    The shooting happened on Palmer Street around 1 p.m., according to police. As of 2:30 p.m., it was still an active scene.

    Officers did not give out information on the condition of the victim or say if there were any arrests.

    The Salem News has reported that an 18-year-old man was flown to a Boston-area hospital with a gunshot wound. The man was concious at the scene, and the shooting happened near Mary Jane Lee Park, according the that report.
