Maine State Police said they are investigating the death of an Eastport man as suspicious.
The body of an elderly man was found inside a home on Clark Street around 10 p.m. Thursday by Eastport Police, who were called to the home to check on the occupant.
The man's body was transported to the state Medical Examiner's Office in Augusta overnight and an autopsy is being conducted on Friday.
A team of state police detectives are investigating the death, and additional information is expected to be released later on Friday.
