A 76-year-old year man was hospitalized on Wednesday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle in Newburyport, Massachusetts.
Police said the crash happened at about 1:30 p.m. on State Street.
The man, who has not been identified, was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The driver, a juvenile, remained at the scene. Police said he is cooperating with investigators.
The incident is currently under investigation by the Newburyport Police Department and Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction Team.
