Police: Man Drowns in Piscataquog River

Officials recovered the victim’s body about 15-to-20 feet from the shoreline

A 26-year-old male is dead after officials say he drowned Sunday in the Piscataquog River in Manchester, New Hampshire.

According to New Hampshire State Police, around 4:45 p.m. Heritier Bosa of Manchester went swimming with his wife, Lacresha Bonds, 23, and their three-year old daughter. Felicia LeBrun, 20, had given the family a ride to the beach.

LeBrun told police that Heritier was swimming in the water, even though he was not a strong swimmer, but looked like he was "doing fine."

She noticed that he seemed to be struggling, but though he was "fooling around." When he did not resurface she called police.

Officials recovered Heritier's body about 15-to-20 feet from the shoreline about an hour after the initial 911 call. He was rushed to Catholic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Lacresha was taken to a local hospital due to the fact that she is eight months pregnant and was distraught. She and her three-year-old daughter were released a short time later.
