Police say a man kidnapped two children before abandoning them at a market in Providence, Rhode Island, according to necn affiliate WJAR.
According to police, the suspect and the children's mother were involved in a dispute. He allegedly took the two girls, both under 5, from her at a Walmart.
WJAR reports that the man allegedly made a demand of the mother before dropping off the children, unattended, at Joe's Meat Market on Westminster Street.
Police arrived to the market just before 6 p.m. The girls were taken to the hospital and reunited with their mother.
It was not known exactly how long the suspect allegedly had the children.
