Police: Man Wanted for Rape Caught Upskirting at MBTA Station

A Boston man wanted for rape was caught taking video up a woman's skirt at an MBTA station, according to police.

James Cullers, 51, is expected in Cambridge District Court on Wednesday.

Transit police say they responded to the Porter Square station on Tuesday afternoon for a report of a man taking secret videos of women on the T.

The female victim told police another passenger pointed out a man, later identified as Culler, and said "He's video taping up your skirt."

The victim confronted the man, who allegedly admitted to it and agreed to delete the video; the victim then pointed Culler out to officers.

Transit police say when an officer approached him, Cullers began to manipulate the phone in his hand and apologized.

He was taken into custody for making a secret video, otherwise known as the upskirting law. While he was being booked, transit police discovered there was a warrant out of Wareham District Court for his arrest on rape and two indecent assault and battery charges.

It's unclear if Culler has an attorney.
