Police: Meat Cleaver Found in Felon's Car

A Hooksett, New Hampshire, man has been arrested after police found a large meat cleaver and several knives in his car during a traffic stop

A Hooksett, New Hampshire, man has been arrested after police found a large meat cleaver and several knives in his car during a traffic stop.

Hooksett Police arrested Jesse Longden, 29, Friday morning around 1:15.

Longden was pulled over near the Tri-Town Ice Arena for a speeding violation.

Police observed a large meat cleaver in the vehicle. During investigation, police found a butterfly knife as well as two other knives.

Longden was previously convicted in 2012 on an assault charge and was ordered to refrain from possessing any weapons.

He was transported to the Hooksett Police Department and is being charged with being a felon in possession of a deadly weapon.

He was released on $10,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in court May 20.
