    Tewksbury, Mass. Police Officer Arrested for 2nd OUI

    A Tewksbury, Massachusetts police officer was arrested for allegedly operating under the influence for the second time, according to Tewksbury Police.

    Police received a call Wednesday at 3:35 p.m. of a report of a Jeep Wrangler operating erratically on Route 495 northbound in Westford.

    A Massachusetts State Police officer observed the vehicle and attempted to pulled it over. The driver refused to stop and continued to drive, leading police on a short pursuit.

    The driver was identified as Michael Sheehan, 51. Sheehan refused to take field sobriety tests and police placed him under arrest for failure to stop for police, operating under the influence of alcohol and a marked lane violation.

    He was transported to the Concord Barracks, where he was booked and bailed. His driver's license was suspended for not taking a breathalyzer test.

    He was arraigned in Lowell District Court.
