    Police Officer Hit in Peabody

    A police officer was hit by a vehicle in Peabody, Massachusetts.

    A police officer was hit by a vehicle Monday in Peabody, Massachusetts.

    The Peabody Police Department confirmed after 6 p.m. that one of its officers had been hit at 75 Lake St. Police said he was responding to a separate crash when he was struck.

    The driver stayed at the scene, police said.

    The officer was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital. His injuries are not considered life-threatening and he is expected to make a full recovery, according to police.
