Who doesn't love a cute animal story, especially one with a happy ending?
Cpl. Kris Bouchard of the Auburn Police Department helped rescue five baby raccoons on Tuesday.
Bouchard responded to a call on Carson Ln. where there was an issue with the "little bandits" seen in the photos above.
The baby raccoons were in distress as their mom was sick and had abandoned them in a tree. Two of them had already fallen out of the tree.
Rich Burton of Maine Animal Damage Control was on the scene and needed a hand.
Bouchard helped arrange a lift from the city's electrical department.
The babies have been taken to an animal rescue facility in Vassalboro.
