Police Release New Photos of Driver in Chelsea Hit-and-Run

Driver in images was seen near the Plaza Mexico restaurant before the crash

It’s been five months since a fatal hit-and run crash in Chelsea, but now there are new leads in the case.

Authorities have released three new images of a man they believe was the driver.

The victim, 25-year-old Marco Salguero-Cruz, was killed.

The accident happened on Washington Street in June, but the case has remained unsolved.

In the new images released Monday, the driver is seen near the Plaza Mexico restaurant before the crash.

His car is believed to be a silver 2007-2009 Toyota Camry, with a sun roof and fog lights.

Previously, authorities had released video of that vehicle after the accident took place, but this never led to any solid clues about the identity of the driver.

The Toyota likely would have sustained damage to the driver’s side of the car according to detectives.

Investigators describe the search for these new images as painstaking.

The suspect is described as a Latino, about 5’5” in height, with dark hair and wearing a blue and white checked shirt.

Family members of the victim tell necn they are hoping for justice, but so far nothing.

That could change with these new pictures, as authorities hope someone will recognize the driver in the images released Monday.
