Woman Found Safe, Charles Search Called Off

A woman who was reported missing in Boston around 2:10 a.m. on Satuday was found in a local hospital, being treated for substance abuse issues, according to authorities.

Police searched the Charles River in Boston early Saturday morning for a woman after a man, found sitting on the westbound side of Storrow Drive, spoke to troopers, indicating that his girlfriend had gone into the Charles River Lagoon.

A state police K9 unit tracked a scent to the edge of the river and state and Boston police, along with Boston Fire, began a water search.

The search has since been called off.
