Police Search for Armed Man Who Allegedly Robbed Quincy Liquor Store

Police are searching for the man they say robbed a liquor store at knifepoint Wednesday night in Quincy, Massachusetts.

The robbery happened at 9:41 p.m. at the Discount Liquors on Granite Street.

Surveillance video showed the suspect wearing a mask and brandishing a large knife at the counter while demanding money from a clerk and the store owner.

Clerk Paul Shan said he had no choice but to give the intruder what he wanted.

"It was very, very, very scary. Unbelievable. I cannot believe that," recalled Shan, who threw the money at the suspect.

Shan said the suspect only uttered one thing to him during the ordeal.

"He said, 'give me all the money. I need all the money,'" recalled Shan. "That's it."

The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register.

Police are now looking at video from 12 surveillance cameras. One clue they are zeroing in on is the suspect's jacket, which had a star with red and white stripes on the right sleeve.

Anyone with information on the incident or the suspect's identity is urged to contact Quincy Police at 617-745-5762.
