Police in Needham, Massachusetts say they have received several reports of suspicious activity

Police in Needham, Massachusetts are looking for a suspect after several reports of 'peeping tom-like' activity in the Central Avenue/MBTA Dover Line area.

Police have received multiple reports of a person sneaking up to houses through backyards. The incidents have occurred during the nighttime and at different locations, police say.

Police say reports have been coming in for more than a month.

Needham police say the suspect is a male in his late teens or early 20's with a thin build.

"It makes you realize that that can happen anywhere and we should all worry a little more about our safety," said Holly Khachadoorian-Elia, a resident of the area. "I think we should just remind our kids to not talk to strangers and be safe."

"We would like the neighbors, if they hear something, say something," said Lieutenant John Kraemer, "give us a call at the police department."

Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to contact the Needham Police Department at 781-455-7570.

Police are urging residents to call 911 if someone is believed to be trespassing on their property and to lock their doors as a standard security precaution.
