Police Seek Man Accused of Robbing Bank

Police in Fall River, Massachusetts, are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man accused of robbing a bank Thursday

Police in Fall River, Massachusetts, are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man accused of robbing a bank Thursday.

Police are looking for Steven Vieira, 37, who has a last-known address in Maple Gardens Housing Development.

He is accused of robbing the Bay Coast Bank at 335 Stafford Road. Police say he entered the bank around 12:40 p.m. and demanded money from a teller after telling her he had a weapon. An undisclosed among of money was given and the suspect fled.

There were no injuries during the robbery.

Anyone with information on Vieira’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 508-676-851.1. If he is seen outside of Fall River, people may call their respective police departments.

Police urge citizens not to detain him if they spot him, but to call police and provide as much information as possible.
