A pregnant Massachusetts woman who went missing Monday was found safe Tuesday, police say.
Authorities had been searching for 40-year-old Elizabeth Hernandez of Chelsea, who is nine months pregnant. She had last been seen around 5 p.m. Monday at her Blossom Street home. Hernandez had said she was taking a taxi or livery service to a hospital, but she never arrived at any hospitals in the area.
Chelsea Police said she was found safe in a hotel room at the Comfort Inn in Revere after an employee there recognized her from a news report. Authorities do not suspect any foul play.
Police added that Hernandez was being transported to Massachusetts General Hospital for a medical evaluation.
