Police Seek Possible Witness in Crash That Killed 2 in Stoughton

Police are looking for a vehicle whose occupants may have witnessed a deadly crash last week in Stoughton, Massachusetts.

Michael Luddington, the 48-year-old Kingston man who was driving a pickup truck, and his 38-year-old passenger, Angela Goodrich of Stoughton, were killed when they hit a tree on Plain Street around 5:15 p.m. on May 8.

Wednesday, police released a surveillance photo of a vehicle believed to be a Subaru Forester Turbo from 2004 or 2005, with a vent in the hood. It was seen driving away at a high speed, and police believe its driver was a witness to the deadly crash.

"I was going for a walk," witness Emily Hoffman said last week. "When I was walking down, I heard a big bang, and I saw the pole shaking. So I walked up to see what it was and I saw the truck on its side."

Footage from Sky Ranger showed debris from the truck strewn across the scene. The crash left the vehicle unrecognizable.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
