Police Seek Car Stolen From Scene of Fatal Home Invasion in Orange, Massachusetts

Police are urging anyone who sees the vehicle to contact them

Police are looking for a vehicle in connection with a home invasion and murder in Orange, Massachusetts earlier this week.

Thomas Harty, 95, was killed and his wife Joanna Fisher, 77, seriously injured in an apparent home invasion at their residence on East River Street on Wednesday night. Fisher is being treated at UMass Medical Center in Worcester.

No further details have been released.

Following the home invasion, Orange Police said the victims' car, a grayish/silver 2003 Toyota Corolla station wagon with the license plate number M99949 was stolen.

Anyone with information about the vehicle is asked to contact the Orange Police Department at 978-544-2128 or text a tip to 274637.

The incident remains under investigation by Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services and the Orange Police Department.

The cause of Harty's death has not yet been determined.
