Police Seek Suspicious Man After East Bridgewater Encounter

Police are looking for a suspicious man after an incident Wednesday in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts.

A mother called police around 3:20 p.m. to report that a man had approached her 11-year-old daughter as she was getting off the school bus on Thayer Avenue. He allegedly asked the girl twice if she wanted a ride.

The mother, Shayne Nacar, told police she did not know who the man was.

As the man turned around in a nearby driveway, Nacar took photos of his car, believed to be a silver Honda Civic with a model year from 2016 to 2018.

"In today's society, get pictures of stuff. I was praying it was someone she knew," Nacar said.

The man is described as being in his 20s or 30s with a beard and a medium build. He was wearing a red hat at the time.

"We have good people working on it," said William Patterson of the East Bridgewater Police Department. "I can't stress enough we need the public's help."
