Newly-released surveillance video shows the moments that led up to a shooting which police in South Burlington, Vermont, blame on road rage.
In the video, you can see a black sedan waiting for a traffic signal to change, then a white SUV running a red light and nearly hitting the black car.
This happened on Williston Road in South Burlington shortly after 10 p.m. on Sunday, September 30.
After that near-crash, South Burlington Police said the driver of the black car followed the other vehicle into a parking lot, punched the driver who ran the red light, then pulled out a gun and shot at the SUV as he tried to get away.
The victim, who is from Minnesota, suffered facial injuries from shattered glass. He was treated and released from the UVM Medical Center in Burlington.
Investigators released the video hoping it jogs the memory of a witness who can provide information that may point police to the suspect.
The suspect is described as an approximately six-foot-tall white man with a slender build, who was driving a newer-model black sedan.
