Police Seek Woman in Vt. Shooting Death, Mom in Custody

Vermont State Police are looking for a woman in connection with the shooting death of a man whose remains were found in the woods, and her mother has been arrested.

Police say the victim has been tentatively identified as 35-year-old Troy Ford of Highgate. Two women walking their dogs found the remains Saturday.

Police say he was shot several months ago by 31-year-old Erika Guttilla, who was living with Ford at her parents' home in Highgate. Police are searching for Guttilla and 28-year-old Corey Cassani, also involved in the case. They are considered armed and dangerous.

Police say Guttilla's mother, Carmen Guttilla, is due in court Monday to answer charges of aiding in the commission of a felony. Her attorney's office had no information about the case.
