Police Shoot Dog That Attacked Woman in Roxbury

Police shot a dog that bit a woman Wednesday in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood.

Details are limited, but police say an officer shot the pit bull around 3:45 p.m. after it attacked the person on Eustis Street. Police confirm animal control was notified.

Police did not say whether the dog survived.

The nature and extent of the injuries to the person were not immediately known.

Just one day earlier, two people were shot in a transient home on the same street.
