The manager of a Framingham, Massachusetts, supermarket has been charged with stealing more than $34,000 from the store and blaming the robbery on a hockey-mask wearing man with a gun.
The MetroWest Daily News reports that David DeCoste, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday, but it was postponed.
Police say DeCoste was a manager at a Whole Foods Market when he called police on Nov. 17.
He said a man wearing a hockey mask came in the store about two hours after closing, pointed a gun at him and took the money.
Police became suspicious because other employees in the store at the time did not see or hear anything.
DeCoste eventually said he had been addicted to oxycodone and led police to the hidden money.
