Police: Suspect in Bank Robbery Arrested

Maine State Police say they've arrested a suspect in a bank robbery that happened Saturday in Randolph.

Police say Michael Giacomuzzi, 32, of Pittston, entered the Camden National Bank, handed a note to the teller demaning money and indicated he had a gun.

Police say Giacomuzzi made off with $5,900, none of which has been recovered. Police believe he spent the money on a car he bought over the weekend.

Giacomuzzi was located early Wednesday morning at a friend's house on Capitol Street. He surrendered without incident and was taken to Kennebec County Jail in Augusta.

Police say he is facing charges of robbery, theft and violation his probation conditions.
