Police: Teen Stole $10K From Stoughton, Massachusetts, Target

Isa Mendes is charged with larceny over $250

A Massachusetts teen is facing charges for allegedly stealing nearly $10,000 from the Target store where she worked.

Isa Mendes, 18, of Brockton, pleaded not guilty Monday to a charge of larceny over $250, according to The Patriot Ledger. She is scheduled to return to court on Jan. 19.

Stoughton Police said they were called to the Target on Hawes Way over the weekend for a report of an employee who admitted to stealing money.

Mendes, who was recently hired as a seasonal employee, allegedly stole $9,950 from the store by having her friends go through the aisle, charging them full price, and then pocketing half of the money.
