Police Warn About Car Break-ins at Vermont Hiking Spots

Vermont State Police are warning hikers not to leave valuables in their vehicles after numerous car break-ins were reported at hiking locations around the state last year.

Police say frequent vehicle break-ins have occurred at Mount Philo State Park in Charlotte, Camel's Hump State Park in Huntington and Duxbury, Underhill State Park and Snake Mountain Hiking Access in Addison, among other spots.

Purses, iPads, iPods, cash, credit cards, and wallets have been stolen.
