Authorities say a Maine woman was killed in a head-on, two-car crash in Sidney.
Kennebec County Sheriff Ryan Reardon says Laurie Garland of Sidney was driving her car south on West River Road Wednesday night when it crossed the centerline and hit a northbound vehicle occupied by two juveniles. Police say Garland was declared dead at the scene.
The youths suffered minor injuries. One person was taken to MaineGeneral Medical Center. Authorities say alcoholic beverages were found at the scene.
Reardon says it's unknown whether there will be criminal charges. The investigation is ongoing.
