A Vermont woman is facing charges after allegedly slapping a 6-year-old boy in an argument over a bike.
Kelly Ann Heavner, 26, of Westminster was charged with simple assault after the Saturday incident.
Vermont State Police tell WPTZ that the victim's mother called 911 to report that her child had been slapped by Heavner, a neighbor, during an argument over a bicycle.
Heavner was released and ordered to not have contact with the victim.
Her next court appearance is Aug. 2.
It's not clear if she has an attorney.
