Police: Woman Tried to Flush Stolen Jewelry Down the Toilet

A woman was arrested on Thursday for allegedly attempting to flush stolen jewelry down the toilet at a Vermont store.

Police say they found Amy Turcotte trying to dispose of the stolen goods in the bathroom of a local business at 7:11 p.m.

Investigation revealed that Turcotte has stolen over $900 in merchandise from three nearby businesses in Williston. She also had over twenty designer purses, and police are currently looking for their owners.

Turcotte was arrested and charged with retail theft, obstruction of justice, criminal DLS, and violation of conditions of release.
