The man charged in the death of a little girl whose body was found on Massachusetts' Deer Island last year was expected in court Tuesday.
Michael McCarthy of Quincy was scheduled for a pre-trial hearing in Suffolk Superior Court, but it has been postponed to June 9.
McCarthy is charged with first-degree murder in the killing of two-year-old Bella Bond. He has pleaded not guilty.
Bella Bond was previously known as "Baby Doe." Her body was discovered in a plastic bag on June 25, 2015.
Authorities heavily pursued an investigation into discovering who the child was until her identification on September 18, 2015.
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children reconstructed the child's face to provide the public with an estimation of what she may have looked like. This generated tips and nationwide attention.
Bond's mother is charged as an accessory after the fact, and has also pleaded not guilty.
