Quiet, Warmer Conditions Ahead

Lots of sunshine this week

Pleasant weather continues to dominate across most of New England, with a gradual warming trend underway.

Sunshine will be widespread across Southern New England on Tuesday, with a few extra clouds across the higher terrain of Northern New England. Just like past days, a weak disturbance pivoting through parts of Maine will trigger a few spotty showers. Expect high temperatures to land in the 60s and 70s. The wind, which has been so gusty over the past few days, will continue to gradually diminish.

High pressure stands firm on Wednesday bringing more sun to the area. Temperatures will nudge up a bit with most enjoying highs in the 70s and low 80s.

An area of disturbed weather to the southwest will try to creep closer Thursday into Friday, perhaps bringing a few extra clouds, but overall the pattern still favors quiet conditions locally. Highs will remain in the 70s to near 80.

While it’s still early, the weekend is right now shaping up to feature highs in the 70s and 80s with a good deal of sunshine. It’s worth noting a storm will likely be spinning just to our south, so we’ll keep tabs on that as we get closer.

Into next week, temperatures will likely surge well into the 80s.
