Randolph Man Facing Multiple Charges After Leading Police on Car Chase

A Randolph man is facing multiple charges after allegedly stealing money from his grandmother and leading police on a car chase.

Patrick Laubenstein, 27, is being charged with abuse of an elder, reckless driving, driving without a license, leaving the scene of property damage and failing to stop for police. A judge set his bail at $7,500. He'll be held for 90 days. In the event he does post bail, he's been ordered to wear a GPA tracker.

Laubenstein's attroney says that his grandmother, 81-year-old Barbara McCormick, was aware that he was taking money out of her account. Court records reveal that the family beleives she's been enabling his substance abuse for a long time.
