Marcus Smart: JR Smith Foul on Al Horford Was 'Dirty Shot'

Marcus Smart spoke following the Celtics Game 2 victory Tuesday night despite Lebron James' 42-point performance. Smart said 'you've gotta tip your hat to Lebron.' He said the team knew Lebron would come out and give it everything he had in Game 2 after his performance in Game 1. Smart said the team had to make it tough on him all night, just keep going. He acknowledged it took a full team effort, everybody off the bench. Smart also acknowledged when he got heated in the second half after Al Horford went down on a foul by JR Smith. 'We out there to play go and take two hands to the back, that's a dirty shot... You just can't allow that to keep happening. That's not the first time JR has done some dirty stuff, especially playing against us. He's known for it, especially playing against us. We know that, so, it's like a bully, you keep letting a bully keep picking on you, he's going to keep picking on you until you finally stand up and that's what I tried to do. One of my guys was down and I took offense to it."

Red Sox pitcher Chris Sales showed his support for the Celtics by wearing a "Boston Goon Squad" t-shirt on Wednesday.

The t-shirt is in response to Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue's quote following the Celtics 107-94 win Tuesday night.

"They’re playing tougher than we are," Lue said of the physicality in the series. "We see that. They’re being physical, they’re gooning the game up and we gotta do the same thing."

The Celtics are in Cleveland for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Saturday night. The Celtics lead the series 2-0.
