Report: Buildings in Maine Struck by Lightning



    Checklist for a Healthier Fall

    Several buildings in Maine were reportedly struck by lightning during Sunday night's storm.

    The Portland Press Herald reports that fires that started at buildings in Portland, Buxton and Westbrook may be connected to lightning strikes during a thunderstorm that hit parts of western and southern Maine.

    Central Main Power Co. reported more than 8,000 power outages in its service area around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
