The Bridgewater State University who told police that a man put a bag over her head and tried to remove her clothing early Friday morning has recanted her story.

The student had told police that she ran away from the man, who was wearing a ski mask.

She had initially described the man as between 5'7" and 5'10" tall and said he was wearing jeans and a dark-colored sweatshirt.
