Reward Offered for Return of Missing Beloved Southie Bar Mascot

The search is on for the beloved mascot of a South Boston bar, and the owners are hoping a reward will bring it back.

Outside of Punk and Poets Bar hangs a missing sign with a $1 million reward if you return their missing mascot, "Sid." They don't plan on actually dishing out that type of money to whoever returns the miniature ceramic figure, but will give a $500 gift card.

The handheld figure sat in the front of the bar, greeting patrons as they walked in.

"It's like the face of the restaurant. With the loss of that it feels a little less happy in here," customer and food blogger Joey Calcavecchia told NBC10 Boston.

Sid went missing the night of the AFC championship after the Patriots comeback victory over the Jaguars.

"He is very real. He, again, represents us. He's one of us. He is in no way fake at all," Bar Manager Padraic Parent said.

Though he's still missing, staff and patrons are optimistic he'll return.

"I wear Sid on my heart every day to rep our Sid until he comes back to us," server Antonio Mizael said.
