Triple Bank Robbery Suspect on the Run; Reward Offered

Suspect considered armed and dangerous, reward offered

The U.S. Marshal's Service is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of a man suspected of robbing banks in Vermont and New Hampshire.

The Valley News reports that 31-year-old Matthew Martin of Weathersfield, Vermont, is accused of robbing the Heritage Family Credit Union in Ludlow, Vermont, on Monday, a TD Bank in Loudon, New Hampshire, on Dec. 4 and the Mascoma Savings Bank in Charlestown, New Hampshire, on Dec. 1.

Authorities say Martin is on the run and is considered armed and dangerous. In September, he pleaded guilty to robbing a credit union, gas station and bank in southeastern Vermont during a three-week stretch earlier this year. He had been scheduled for sentencing on those charges Dec. 1 but didn't show up.
