Rhode Island Attorney General Helps Launch Winter Clothing Drive

Donations for the "Warm Hearts, Coats & Stuff" drive being taken through Nov. 21

Rhode Island's attorney general has launched this year's winter clothing collection drive with the Neighborhood Alliance of Pawtucket.

Attorney General Peter Kilmartin's office and the alliance will be taking donations of winter apparel for the annual "Warm Hearts, Coats & Stuff" drive through Monday, Nov. 21.

Items being accepted include new or slightly worn coats, scarves, hats and gloves for children and adults. They can be dropped off at the attorney general's office on South Main Street in Providence during weekday business hours.

Kilmartin says no one should have to go without winter clothing and the simple act of donating a new or slightly worn coat, hat or gloves will help keep people warm this winter.

He says hundreds of people have benefited from past clothing drives.
