Rhode Island Man Arrested for Massachusetts Bank Robbery

State and local police in Rhode Island arrested Derik DeCosta, who is charged as a fugitive from justice in Massachusetts in connection with a Seekonk bank robbery.

Authorities in Rhode Island arrested a man Saturday in connection to a bank robbery that took place Monday in Seekonk, Massachusetts.

Thirty-nine-year-old Derik DeCosta, formerly of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, was arrested by Rhode Island State Police, Pawtucket Police, Seekonk Police and U.S. Marshals.

He is charged as a fugitive of justice from Massachusetts.

Police say that two suspects robbed the Webster Bank on Newman Avenue in Seekonk Monday, showing guns and demanding money. Michael DiRocco, 32, of Cranston, Rhode Island, was arrested earlier in the week.
