Rocky Hill Police Investigate Allegations of Drinking at Police Station

The Rocky Hill police department is investigating allegations of drinking at the police station several months ago.

Sources told the NBC Connecticut Troubleshooters that three police officers and a civilian employee drank from an 18-pack of beer while cleaning out an evidence vault inside the police station several months ago after their shifts ended.

An employee brought the beer into the department , according to sources.

Police chief Michael Custer said in an email that the department is looking into the matter and an investigator has been assigned the case.

Custer said he will contact NBC Connecticut as soon as the investigation is complete.

Outgoing town manager Guy Scaife said he has no further comment than what the chief sent.

The Troubleshooters have also requested all investigative materials related to the matter.
