The contents inside the time capsule that was discovered at the Massachusetts State House last year will be available for the public to see.
Beginning Wednesday, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston will display the artifacts from Paul Revere and Governor Samuel Adams' 1795 time capsule, which was excavated in December.
Originally made of cowhide, the time capsule was believed to have been embedded in the granite cornerstone of the building when construction on the state Capitol began in 1795.
The time capsule was removed in the mid-19th century and its contents transferred to a copper box, Galvin said.
It was removed because of an ongoing water filtration project at the building.
Museum officials say the display will be open to the public until April 22.
