The driver of a vehicle that crashed into a school bus van, injuring two students, has been charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, police said.

Two high school-aged students were taken to a local hospital after the school bus van they were riding in was sideswiped by another vehicle in Revere on Friday, according to state police.

State police said the crash happened at Eliot Circle, just off of Revere Beach, around 1 p.m. The two vehicles were traveling in the same direction when the second vehicle drifted into the van's lane.

The driver of the vehicle that hit the school van, Kerry Grasso, 45, of Revere, is facing drunken driving and marked lanes violation charges, state police said. She was taken to the state police barracks in Revere for booking. Her name was not immediately released.
