School District to Sell Bus Passes for $150

The school district says it will no longer cover the cost of bus rides for certain students

Some students in Burlington, Vermont, will soon have to find another way to school.

The school district says it will no longer cover the cost of bus rides for certain students.

Middle and high school students who live more than a mile from school and qualify for the free and reduced lunch program will continue to have free rides.

Others must buy bus passes, which cost $150.

Elementary school students who live more than three-quarters of a mile from school are also exempt from the change.
