Schools in a Maine town will remain closed for a third day in the wake of receiving threatening emails

Schools in a Maine town will remain closed for a third day in the wake of receiving threatening emails.

Maine Public Broadcasting Network reports there will be no school in Regional School Unit 14 on Wednesday. The district serves about 3,300 students Windham and Raymond. The district released all of its students on Monday as police investigated the emailed threat.

Windham Police Lt. Jim Boudreau said his department enlisted the Maine Computer Crimes Task Force in an investigation to attempt to determine the source of the emails. There were two different emails that came from different sources.

Police have said no details will be released until the investigation is concluded.
