Scott Brown is coming back to New England next month.
The U.S. Ambassador to New Zealand and Samoa and former U.S. Senator is adding a new title to his list, law school dean.
Brown and New England Law Boston shared the news on Friday.
According to the Boston Globe, after Brown finishes his ambassador role in December 2020, he will become president and dean of the law school.
Brown told the Globe in a phone interview from New Zealand, "it's an exciting opportunity, something new and interesting."
The newspaper reported that he is excited to collaborate with faculty, staff, and students and help raise funds and improve the school's profile.
New England Law sent a letter to its community saying that Brown has the "management and development skills" to lead the law school successfully.

The 60-year-old told the Globe that he and his wife, Gail Huff, are going to live in New Hampshire, close to their two daughters.
Brown, a Republican, lost his Senate seat in 2012 to Democrat Elizabeth Warren in Massachusetts, then ran unsuccessfully for Senate in New Hampshire two years later. He became an ambassador in 2017.
