2nd Suspect in Lowell, Mass. Fatal Home Invasion to Face Judge

A second man has been arrested in connection to a deadly home invasion in Lowell, Massachusetts.

Police say 24-year-old Jeffrey Puryear of Dracut has been charged with armed assault in connection to an apparent homicide that occurred on Thursday at a home in Lowell.

Prosecutors said Thursday Puryear was arrested on Saturday morning. He will be arraigned in Lowell District Court on Monday.

Forty-year-old Saro Mann was assaulted in his home and later died from his injuries in Lowell General Hospital.

The other man connected to the crime is 41-year-old Samundi Cobb, who was arraigned on the same charge and is being held without bail.

It is not clear if the two men have attorneys through searches on electronic court records.
