Police say a pedestrian is seriously injured after being hit by a car in Portland.
The 75-year-old man was hit on Allen Avenue Friday afternoon.
He was taken to Maine Medical Center. His name has not been released.
The Portland Press Herald reports that the driver of the car, a 74-year-old woman, was not hurt.
Police say the accident is being investigated and no charges have been filed.
