Police in Walpole, Massachusetts, are seeking the public's help in identifying the suspects behind a series of car break-ins and thefts.

Thursday morning, the police received several phone calls from residents in the area of East and Kendall Streets. In total, officers recorded that 11 cars had been broken into overnight, while four had been stolen in the span of two days.

"Somebody breaks into your property it's violating," said one victim, David Cuddy. "You just feel violated."

Two of Cuddy's cars were taken sometime in the night. Police located one of them just around the corner, where it was abandoned in front of a local cemetery. The second vehicle, a 2005 Dodge Dakota pickup truck, has not been recovered.

Some Leavenworth County, Kansas, officials are calling for Commissioner Louis Klemp's resignation after he insulted a black woman who had just presented a land-use study to the commission. "I don't want you to think I am picking on you because we are part of the master race. You have a gap in your teeth. We are part of the master race, don't you forget that," Klemp said.

"It's pretty brazen to come in somebody's yard like that," Cuddy said. "We didn't hear a thing, so they were in and out like they knew what they were doing."

According to police, none of the cars involved were locked at the time of the incidents. The stolen vehicles also had keys inside them. While that added to how widespread the thefts were, investigators believe their suspects were familiar with the area.

"We do believe that this being all confined to one certain neighborhood there is some link to this neighborhood," said Walpole Police Chief John Carmichael.

Police were able to recover a second car, Wednesday, when it was involved in a crash in South Boston. The driver fled the area, but police hope someone comes forward to identify him. They are also looking for a gray 2007 Mazda CX-7, one of the two cars that has yet to be located.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Walpole Police.
