An early Nov. nor'easter brought severe weather to New England's coast Saturday into Sunday morning.

The coastline is seeing the strongest winds associated with the storm, with a wind advisory issued for most of New England.

The National Weather Service has issued high wind warnings and advisories across southern New England, with gusts expected to hit up to 60 mph in southeastern Massachusetts. The Weather Service also is warning of high winds and seas in the Atlantic Ocean and Long Island Sound.

As of 10 a.m. Sunday morning, more than 13,000 power outages were reported across southern New England.

NStar reports that 10 percent or more of customers in Bourne, Brewster, Hyannis, Mashpee and Orleans are without power Sunday. National Grid says there are small numbers of scattered outages in its service areas in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Connecticut utilities are reporting more than 6,000 outages.

The first New England snowfall of the season was reported in Massachusetts and Maine as a result of the nor'easter. Six to 12 inches are expected to fall in parts of Maine, even as the sun comes out in western parts of New England.
